Altitude Hakuba Terms & Conditions

  1. To reserve the property Altitude Panorama or Skyline , the guest must contact the rental agent, by submitting a booking request form. Once the requested dates are confirmed available, the initial deposit of 30% of the booking, must be paid either via Paypal, or by bank transfer within one week to secure the booking. Personal Cheques are not accepted. All payments must be made in Japanese Yen, and if paid by bank transfer, the guest must cover all bank charges.
  2. On receipt of the deposit we will provide the guest with an acknowledgement and formal acceptance and lease agreement for the booking period. If for any reason we cannot accept the booking the deposit will be refunded in full. The balance is due 30 days prior to rental commencement, unless the booking is made within 30 days of this date, in which case the full balance is payable on booking. 
  3. A security deposit of yen 20,000 is also payable with the balance. This is a security against breakages or damages and will be returned in cash following a satisfactory inspection of the property, prior to your departure. Should breakages or damages exceed the deposit amount, this shall be invoiced separately. Damages less than Yen 20,000 will be deducted and the remainder refunded. 
  4. In the event of canceling a booking. Cancellations with less than 60 days notice will be provided with a credit towards a future stay at Altitude Apartments. Cancellations with less than 60 days notice will be charged on the following schedule:30 - 60 days = deposit will be forfeited and refunds after full paymet has been made: 21 - 30 days = 50% of the total paid will be refunded, 14-20 days = 25% of the total will be refundable and 13 days notice and less no refund will be payable
  5. Rental of the property runs from 3 pm on the day of your arrival to 10am on the day of your departure.
  6. Each Apartment sleeps a maximum of up to 9 people unless agreed to at the time of reservation.
  7. Bedding and towels are included in the price.
  8. Cleaning of the apartment at the end of your stay is included, however, cleaning products and facilities are provided in order that you can carry out light daily cleaning for your own comfort.
  9. During your stay the guests must agree to be considerate to the neighbors, to take good care of the property and its contents and to leave the property tidy and in good order. If extra cleaning is required due to the apartment being left in an unacceptable condition, a charge will be deducted from the Yen 20,000 deposit.
  10. The guest should inform the Agent of any faults, damages or defects to the property or appliances, in order that they can be rectified as soon as possible.
  11. The Agent or their contractors have the right to enter the property at any time in an emergency to carry out essential repairs or at a time that is mutually agreeable to the guest for maintenance work and cleaning.
  12. Pets are not allowed in the property
  13. Smoking inside the apartments is strictly prohibited.
  14. The agent/owner does not accept liability for any personal injury or loss of personal belongings during your stay. You are recommended to provide your own adequate travel insurance to cover you for holiday cancellation, flight delays, personal loss or injury and medical emergencies.
  15. The agent/owner will not accept liability for: - any stoppage or defect of public services to the property, i.e. electricity - any damage, loss or injury as a result of weather conditions, war, riot, strikes or other factors outside of our control.
  16. Under no circumstances shall the agent/owners’ liability be more than the amount paid for the rental period.
  17. In the event of a complaint against the agent/owner or the property, this should be communicated to the agent immediately, so that we can take all reasonable steps to rectify and resolve the matter. No liability shall be accepted for any complaints received at a later date.
